About Masha

There is such children's American song is translated as:

" Chubby Cheeks, Dimple Chin,
Rosy Lips, Teeth Within,
Curly Hair, Very Fair,
Eyes Are Blue, Lovely Too,
Our's Pet, Is That You?
YES, YES, YES. "

When Masha needs to lighten the mood, I often sing it. And she breaks into a smile, because guess the song is about her. Masha is a child with disabilities, but her mental quality is boundless. "Our sun" call her teachers in kindergarten. From an early age Masha generous smile, trusting and open to people. She can't physically defend, hide or run away, therefore, chose the tactics to do all around her friends.

When she is not sitting in a special stroller or chair, sometimes it is difficult to recognize a child with a terrible diagnosis of cerebral palsy. Remember my awkward feelings when old ladies or kids on public transport trying to communicate and to get acquainted with Masha. She just smiled or waved hands, and I had to disappoint the strangers, explaining that Masha can not speak and can not take a piece of candy. However, when we boarded a special carriage, the interest of the people in the tram to Masha not faded, but sympathy and assistance added.

Of course, like any child, she is able to cry loudly and be stubborn. Hyperkinetic form of cerebral palsy means also hypersensitivity-increased irritability. To control her emotions, stop unreasonable anxiety is something we haven't always cope.

I deliberately did not post photo and video where it is possible to see the absolute helplessness of Masha: cannot sit, cannot walk, cannot play, cannot eat by herself. To feed her I have to fix the arms, legs, keep the head and help to close the mouth. Endless involuntary movements harassed her and us. Just at the moment when I decided to create a blog, I wanted to talk about her only good things and to show that she's really wonderful girl. But the truth is that photos with smiles are just a cover dire state in which we find ourselves.

It is too difficult sometimes. But still we love her very much.
